The multi-practice law firm of Clayton-Johnston, P.A. has offered exceptional representation and extensive experience in areas such as commercial litigation, estate planning, family law, business law, and real estate. Currently, trial lawyers in the firm are admitted to practice in all Federal Courts in Florida, as well as the 11th Circuit of Appeals and the 6th United States Court. One shareholder has been admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.

Several of the attorneys of Clayton-Johnston, P.A., are AV-rated under Martindale-Hubbell’s peer review rating system.* One former partner was appointed by the President as a U.S. District Judge. Another former shareholder was appointed by the Governor as a Circuit Judge for the Eighth Judicial Court and is now a sitting judge.

Members of our firm carry on the tradition of being active in the Florida Bar and the Eighth Judicial Circuit Bar Association. The firm includes former members of the Board of Governors of The Florida Bar and of the Board of Governors of the Young Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar. Our lawyers now serve or have served on numerous Florida Bar committees. The firm includes three past presidents of the Eighth Judicial Circuit Bar Association.

Lawyers in the firm actively participate in service clubs, professional organizations, community activities, political campaigns, and religious organizations in the Gainesville, Florida area. One member of the firm served as special counsel to Senator Bob Graham (then Governor). One member of the firm is a past president of the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce. Two members have served as General Counsel of the Chamber.
